Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a leading company in the consumer goods industry to assist in their search for a Director of US Product Strategy and Operations Supply Chain.  This is a direct hire opportunity in Morrisville, NC!  As the primary leader for the internal and external product supply strategy and operations, this position will be extremely varied and demanding, yet highly rewarding, and will play a major role in delivering the strategic ambitions of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the strategy for the manufacturing operations, working to clear objectives, metrics and timelines.
  • Organize the systems, processes and resources of the operations such that market/driven lead time expectations can be met for all products and on-time delivery performance meets or exceeds stated goals.
  • Understand the strategic goals, requirements and operational needs of business stakeholders, and collaborates with them to develop sourcing strategies necessary to position the best suppliers to serve those needs putting the company in a competitive advantage.
  • Leads, develops and builds a division product strategy and procurement operating model, including processes and policies to support competitive, high quality and compliant internal and external manufacturing practices.
  • Delivers effective, efficient and responsive day-to-day supply operations for the divisional footprint, leading improvement and integration initiatives to deliver divisional quality, delivery, continuity, cost improvement and efficiency objectives.
  • In collaboration with supply chain and business stakeholders, implements and drives robust participation in the organization’s Sales & Operations process to deliver a best in class operating model.
  • Establish KPIs to ensure customer and company business needs are consistently achieved and drive continuous improvement programs that deliver responsiveness, quality and service that generates competitive advantage.
  • Develop, review and represent supplier budgets as part of the company financial review platform, leading capital expenditure business case discussions and ensuring the manufacturing footprint meets or exceeds budget expectations and performance goals.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, EEO, HAS and other regulatory agencies as applicable to the supplier or industry.
  • Leads their team in building a culture of respect, teamwork, collaboration and accountability throughout the manufacturing operation and with the other divisional departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or related field, MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years Manufacturing Management, Operations or Sourcing experience
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience is strongly preferred
  • Strategic and tactical capabilities that can deliver operational priorities in parallel to developing & delivering long term supply roadmap
  • Excellent knowledge of production as a part of the end to end supply chain and how it interrelates with Sales & Operations Planning, forecasting, production planning, logistics, product lifecycle management
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial software (Office) and SAP ERP & Planning
  • Experience in project management beneficial
  • Strong ability to communicate purpose, build trustful relationships, drive results, manage complexity and ambiguity, and balance competing priorities across diverse & multifunctional stakeholders or team members.
  • Strong ability to identify opportunity areas and develop strategies / tactics for improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously, with good time management and organizational skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to operate independently and with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
