Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a privately owned manufacturing company in Winston-Salem who is hiring for a Design Engineer to work with product engineering, stamping, process engineering and the tool shop to design progressive dies. This is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, offering competitive pay, working onsite. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a strong design background tool and die.
Responsibilities:
- Research and estimate the best die design for each given product
- Work closely with machine shop to use correct material and available die standard designs
- Work with product design, stamping process, assembly process and QA to do FMEA analysis of each tool before it has been released for fabrication
- Responsibility for inventory levels in perishable tools
Requirements:
- 4 year degree in engineering or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in design, fabrication and building of progressive dies
- Strong background in metal blanking and forming technology
- 2-3 years direct experience in building and testing progressive dies
- Proficient in Solidworks
