Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Customer Service Specialist for a growing company.  This is a temp to permanent opportunity in Raleigh, NC. This position will provide a high level of customer service to schools and students through phone support and responding to email inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming documents and past activity on Center files to determine the appropriateness of documents and to ensure proper handling of special or exception cases
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries from students and schools
  • Develop and maintain good service relationships with school clients.  Provide support and training to schools.  Act as a liaison between school clients and the verification contract vendor
  • Handle exceptions by reviewing reports and other records
  • Process faxes, emails, mail, returned mail, and any other incoming correspondence
  • Train, support and mentor seasonal employees through hands-on training and development of training materials
  • Participate in resource sharing activities and engage in cross-training as required
  • Assist office visitors with questions related to Center activities
  • Assist management as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution and 2+ years related experience; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 1+ years related experience preferred
  • Previous experience reviewing documents and performing data entry
  • Previous experience in a financial aid office environment
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Skill working with computer programs and ability to adapt quickly to system changes
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships and work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
