Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a COVID Testing Coordinator to assist the local health department with various administrative tasks associated with North Carolina’s COVID-19 program. This position will be onsite at various locations throughout the Wake County area.  This position requires that you have had the Covid vaccine and work onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular contact with the Regional Supervisor or the designated direct supervisor to receive assignments and ensure the needs of the local health departments are being met.
  • Make or answer telephone calls on-site at the LHD or remote sites.
  • Schedule appointments as directed by LHDs.
  • Prepare registration packets, patient education forms, other forms supplied by LHDs.
  • Scan or enter forms into systems for data entry.
  • Support clinic logistics:
    1. Collect information from individuals on their COVID-19 symptoms, allergies, medications, and signed consent forms
    2. Assist in site set-up and break-down (tables, chairs), excluding handling of any vaccine materials, cleaning contaminated areas, or waste products
    3. Assist in directing individuals on-site to different stations where they need to go
    4. Assist with distribution of available PPE or other non-medical items offered by the LHD
  • Other activities as mutually agreed by the Parties and within the bounds of the scope of work.
  • Follow COVID-19 precautions and protocols while at onsite locations.
  • Immediately report problems or concerns to the designated supervisor for troubleshooting and assistance.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to assigned locations.

Requirements:

  • Access to a personal computer/laptop for data entry
  • Ability and willingness work onsite at the LHD or remote location.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Fluency in languages other than English is a PLUS
  • Possess cultural competence and respect for diverse communities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle for work use.
  • Maintain valid vehicle insurance on vehicles used for work
  • Must be Vaccinated or qualify for a medical or religious exemption
  • Ability to exhibit a professional and positive attitude and a good work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize workload, set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow directions given by assigned local health department and regional supervisor to ensure the program’s needs are being met.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse populations during a time of crisis and distress
  • Ability to think critically and use good judgment in all decision making
  • Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals
  • The job environment is onsite at a Local Health Department or designated off-site location.
  • May require significant travel through the region and North Carolina.
  • Routinely there may be some minor physical inconveniences or discomforts in the work setting, including sitting for moderate periods of time, prolonged standing, lifting, pushing, and repetitive wrist motion.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance.
  • The job environment can be intense as high volume, and repetitive work is an expectation.
