Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership of the accounting department, overseeing accounts, ledgers and reporting systems; ensure compliance with GAAP standards
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and timely recording of all financial transactions, including payroll, disbursements, cash receipts, inventory, accruals and adjusting journal entries
• Responsible for maintaining internal controls and safeguards
• Maintain monthly standard cost set
• Oversee monthly close process including adjusting journal entries, variance review and reconciliations; prepare monthly financial statements
• Develop annual budget and maintain monthly forecast
• Responsible for cash flow forecast and disbursement planning
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation
• Serve as co-trustee and support administration of Company 401(K) plan
• Serve as primary liaison with independent CPA firm regarding annual review
• Manage liability and worker’s comp insurance programs, maintain relationship with broker, submit annual applications, oversee submission of claims
• Work closely with the CEO to review financial reports and implement company-wide budget initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with Accounting emphasis
• CPA
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience in ERP systems; SAP a plus
• Experience with general ledger and month-end/year end close processes
• Attention to detail, organized
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information
