Accentuate Staffing is currently searching for a full-time, onsite Financial Controller for our well-established client in Raleigh, NC. The Controller is responsible for performing month-end close procedures and overseeing the company’s full accounting cycle. This position reports into the CFO, as you lead and support a team of four accountants.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly perform month-end close procedures (reconciliations, journal entries, accruals)
- Oversee the company’s full accounting cycle.
- Accurate and timely reporting of financial information to executive team and managers
- Monitor the company’s financial health by analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Lead, support, and review the work of accounting manager, staff accountant, job cost accountant, and intern (team of four)
- Closely support the CFO and CEO with forecasts and budgets
- Assist corporate tax team with all filings (federal and state)
- Work with internal auditors to ensure accounting processes are in accordance with US GAAP
- Administer strong internal control compliance within the accounting team.
- Serve as back-up to the CFO and accounting team on ad hoc tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting
- CPA License preferred but not required.
- Experience or working knowledge in Job Cost Accounting
- Proficiency in accrual GL accounting and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel skills (namely Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Delimit Data)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Communication – this role requires collaborating with different departments so strong verbal and written communication is a must.
- Organized – can effectively prioritize tasks and be proactive with projects.
- Accountable – can take ownership of work, self-motivated.
