Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing pharmaceutical company in the Durham area who is hiring a Construction/Facilities Engineering Specialist to coordinate facility construction and remodeling. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

  1. Construction/Facilities Specialist will lead facility project activities and facility alteration projects, performing general facility assessments on building systems
  2. Specialist will oversee outside contracts for space planning, engineering, and construction services
  3. Specialist will plan, assign, and review efficiency and quality of work performed by outside contractors and inspect completed projects
  4. Specialist will schedule and plan maintenance and repair projects, overseeing general maintenance and repair related to heating, HVAC, plumbing, electrical installation, etc.
  5. Specialist will implement a preventative maintenance schedule and provide adequate staffing for routine maintenance

Requirements:

  1. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on facilities or a related study
  2. Candidates must have 3 years facility maintenance experience
  3. Candidates must have knowledge of state building codes and state construction procedures for capital improvement projects
  4. Candidates must have knowledge of building codes related to construction, renovation, and major maintenance of facilities
  5. Candidates must be computer savvy and have experience with CAD software
  6. Candidates with experience with GMP documentation practices, facility/engineering equipment qualification, SOP preparations a plus
