Accentuate Staffing is recruiting  for a Compensation Manager to fill an exciting role in Raleigh, North Carolina.  The Compensation Manager will spend 60% of their time focused evaluating & administering the organizations benefit program and 40% of their time on monitoring economic trends and reviewing employee compensation.  This is an on-site direct hire opportunity with competitive wages, great benefits, & generous holiday and PTO.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to obtain accurate quotes from benefit providers.
  • Administers employee insurance programs including health, life and disability plans, in addition to workers’ compensation reporting.
  • Manages a timely and accurate annual renewal process; coordinates with broker, reviews and approves materials and presentations; updates carrier connections, and ensures coverage and deductions are updated correctly.
  • Advise and inform employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
  • Manages employee benefits education efforts to both drive staff to the appropriate plans and then utilize them effectively.
  • Reviews and processes monthly benefit vendor invoices.
  • Manages external vendor relationships, including brokers, service providers, and benefit carriers.
  • Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Monitors administrators’ and insurance carriers’ reports to ensure the organization’s compliance with plan requirements.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of benefit and wellness programs through engagement and cost analysis.
  • Ensures the organization’s and plans’ compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.
  • Evaluates and recommends changes to existing compensation and benefits programs, policies and procedures.
  • Administers human resources information system (HRIS) and serves as the organization’s primary resource in understanding and maximizing system functionality.
  • Works collaboratively with 403(b) plan administrators; champions innovative approaches to increase participation in and knowledge of the plan.
  • Reviews job descriptions for new positions and assigns them to the correct pay grade; collaborates with leadership on requests to review job descriptions for proper grading.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • PreferredBA/BS degree with at least 5 years’ experience administering compensation and benefits programs, preferably for a multi-state organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designation of CEBS or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Uniform Guidance preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
