Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading healthcare organization in Durham, NC, who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Clinical Laboratory Associate. This is a contract position with potential to be hired on permanently working 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Associate will facilitate specimen return and send outs to pathology laboratory partners
- Associate will prioritize requests and audits to ensure customer satisfaction
- Associate will sort, file, and maintain long term specimen storage
- Associate will assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
- Associate will ensure all sample return documentation is accurate and compliant
- Associate will participate in quality control and quality assurance activities as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field preferred
- Prior laboratory experience a plus
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures preferred
