Civil Estimator
Accentuate Staffing is working a leading civil engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for their clients. We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Estimator to join their team and play a pivotal role in their project development process.
Responsibilities:
- Bid Document Gathering
- Gather all necessary bid documents, including civil plans, CAD files, and vendor/subcontractor quotations.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses, to create accurate project estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers, clients, and CCC (Construction, Client, and Company) staff to discuss estimates, provide insights, and resolve potential issues.
- Utilize industry-standard estimation software, including Bid2Win, Agtek Materials/Earthwork, and Excel, to calculate estimates with precision.
- Engage in value engineering processes to optimize the scope of work, making it more cost-effective for both company/ clients.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator, with a strong track record of accurate and competitive bid submissions.
- Proficiency in using estimation software, including Bid2Win and Agtek Materials/Earthwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and quantify cost factors accurately.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with engineers, clients, and CCC staff.
- Value engineering experience is a significant plus.
