Accentuate Staffing is assisting a large school in the Raleigh area recruit for a Campus Security Guard to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive benefits to including a campus meal plan. Hours are Thursday-Saturday from 3pm-11pm, and Sunday and Monday from 11pm-7am. Candidate must have flexibility to work additional shifts and overtime as needed due to absences or special campus events.
Responsibilities:
- Campus Security Guard will report directly to the Director of Security
- Security Guard will ensure the safety of all students, faculty, and authorized visitors while appropriately dealing with unauthorized visitors
- Security Guard will be responsible for patrolling campus and all buildings, securing doors, windows, and gates
- Security Guard will perform inspections of buildings and vehicles as well as monthly security and fire alarm inspections
- Security Guard will be responsible for conflict resolution
- Security Guard will monitor security cameras and respond quickly to campus emergencies
- Security Guard will assist in directing traffic and providing security for on campus events
Requirements:
- Candidate must have 2 years security experience and strong knowledge of security operations
- Candidate must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and walking 12,000-18,000 steps a day
- Candidate must be comfortable lifting 50+ lbs continuously
- Candidate must have strong knowledge computer knowledge including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Must have high school diploma/GED equivalent
- Will be required to pass a criminal background check
