Accentuate Staffing is working with a large and growing biotech company in RTP, NC and is looking to hire a project based Business Development Researcher to assist with evaluating business and growth opportunities in the current prospect pipeline which includes cardiopulmonary, oncology and transplant medicine. Candidates do not need direct experience in any of these areas. This would be a great position for a medical or science-based student, working on their Masters/PhD or MBA, perhaps a Masters in Biotechnology, that has an interest in the business side of the industry. Hours can be flexible. This is a part time position.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Head of Business Development to research companies and proposals for optimal fit for business and growth goals
- Protect organization’s value by keeping all information confidential
- Review sources such as clinicaltrials.gov, PubMed, Symphony, medical conference and company websites
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of therapeutics being considered, as well as market size and competition
- Perform quantitative market and financial analyses of opportunities
- Prepare presentations and reports regarding findings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the biology or medical sciences
- Multi-tasking, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Able to work as needed on a project based schedule
- Technically savvy, able to use multiple online tools for research purposes
