Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Bilingual Commodity Manager to join a leading pharmaceutical company in the Raleigh-Durham area. This is a direct hire opportunity with a leading organization!
Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute the multi-year category strategy
- Create strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and improve value
- Regularly interact with other Corporate and Site Procurement functions to ensure support of our internal stakeholders’ needs
- Create the strategy and manage the transition of key suppliers to cost advantaged countries
- Supports Global Procurement teams as category SME, directly interfacing with supply base
- Work with internal stakeholders and identify/achieve finalized procurement targets
- Ensures all behaviors and supplier behaviors are compliant to companies Ethics and Policies
- Provides budgetary guidance to the business and is responsible for providing meaningful category intelligence (industry movement, trends, SWOT, etc.)
- Prepares and maintains the Savings plan (pipeline of procurement projects) for their assigned categories
- Improves the company’s cash position through rigorous negotiation of payment terms, unit cost, and down payments; as applicable
- For procurement decisions, leads the Supplier Selection through to Contract execution
- Leads the identification of long term continuous improvement action plans and productivity pipeline prior to hand over to the Site Purchasing
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of procurement experience across multiple categories and/or commensurate technical experience (Quality, Engineering, etc.) with a high supplier interaction level
- Direct experience managing suppliers in cost advantaged regions (Latin/South America)
- Demonstrated experience as a creative and strategic thought leader
- Results oriented, experienced managing multiple deadlines and deliverables
- Regulated/Technical industry experience required
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required
- Bachelor’s degree required
