Accentuate Staffing is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator for a growing company in  Raleigh, NC.  The Benefits Administrator is  responsible for day-to-day administration of various company benefits programs, including medical, dental, prescription, vision, disability, life and 401(k),  manage leave of absence policies and programs, and provide guidance and support to employees and leaders on various benefit programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily administration of company benefits programs to include medical, dental, life, disability, EAP and 401(k).
  • Serve as primary point of contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators to ensure compliance in administration.
  • Consult with and advise employees and management regarding eligibility, plan provisions and other benefit related matters.
  • Serves as primary day-to-day contact for the benefits database and third-party Enrollment Center by assisting employees with elections/questions pertaining to the system and enrollment.
  • Act as liaison between employees and insurance vendors utilizing excellent customer service and problem resolution skills.
  • Administer leave of absence program for all locations, including leave tracking, document distribution, tracking and processing benefit payments, claims resolution and return to work.
  • Assist as needed with New Hire Orientations and Acquisitions.
  • Assist with coordination, planning, and rollout of Annual Enrollment, including communications and meetings at facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding dependent eligibility and validation process.
  • Maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
  • Reconcile and process benefit invoices to ensure accurate and prompt payment.
  • Process and submit funding for medical, dental, FSA, HSA, 401(k) and ancillary plans.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly premium billing for life and disability plans.
  • Assist with annual 401(k) audit.
  • Assist with all internal audit processes; including reviewing and updating administration processes to ensure accuracy.

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree (B.S. or B.A.) with some Human Resource education.
  • 4-7 years’ experience in HR field with general knowledge of laws and regulations or combination of equivalent education and work experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills required – pivot tables/vlook-ups
  • Experience with Workday or another comparable cloud based HRIS system a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to speak in group or individual settings.
  • Prior experience in managing benefit plans required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence.  Must understand Welfare Benefit Plan documents and 401(k) Savings and Retirement Plan documents.
  • Ability to write moderate level correspondence to employees, management and vendors via internal and external memorandums and reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management or others in a group or individual setting.
  • Ability to perform complex calculations when reconciling billing statements and calculating insurance premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, etc. as related to daily tasks.
  • Ability to utilize computer and applicable software applications including: basic word processing software (MS Word), spreadsheet applications (MS Excel), and MS Outlook or other email applications.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under limited supervision and heavy deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others.
