Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an Assistant Controller for an established privately held company in Raleigh. The Assistant Controller will manage and oversee all external and internal financial accounting, processes, reporting and planning; ensuring compliance with government regulations, IFRS, policies and procedures, to development controls to protect the assets of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Corporate accounting function: accounting, payroll, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of the financial reporting package to the company’s owners, as well as the company’s annual standalone financial statements and disclosures using International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, develops and maintains financial processes and controls. Researches and guides the company’s position for technical accounting guidance.
  • Ensures accounting policy elections conform to global Suntory accounting guidance.  Keeps policy documentation and position papers in good order.
  • Along with the Company’s external resources, manages all tax and financial regulatory compliance activities, including income, sale & use, property and miscellaneous good standing filings.
  • Presents financial results to executive management including fluctuation analysis on the company’s balance sheet, cash flow and operating expenses.
  • Collaborating with leadership, oversees balance sheet and cash flow performance.  Deploys relevant technologies to improve daily/weekly/monthly reporting metrics.
  • Participates in the tactical day-to-day treasury functions and banking relationships, including procurement cards and intercompany investment/borrowings.
  • Working with management teams, establishes workflows and processes to effectively accomplish financial business goals and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, and five (5) years of experience in mid-level finance or accounting positions.  CPA strongly encouraged.
  • Record of achievement in diverse environments where agility, forward-thinking, and organization scale were critical factors to success.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, payroll, budgeting and cost control principles.
  • IFRS experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax and financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Some travel is required.
