Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking an AP Clerk for a growing home builder in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience as well as basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge to understand financial transactions. This is a full time, permanent position

Responsibilities:

  • Daily data entry and processing of invoices into ERP and routing approval software
  • Research & reconcile all incomplete invoices
  • Match invoices with purchase orders (POs) to verify accuracy and ensure proper authorization.
  • Research and reconcile incomplete purchase orders.
  • Investigate vendor discrepancies, voids, and errors to resolve issues promptly.
  • Reconcile AP vendor monthly statements and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage and reconcile return credits from vendor purchase orders (VPOs) to ensure proper accounting and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in an Accounts Payable Lead position.
  • Experience in the home builder industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Sage CRE 300 and Timberscan is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and accounting/accounts payable software.
  • Good organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, for building strong relationships with suppliers, contractors and business partners
  • Mathematics skills for reconciling invoices, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues accurately.
  • Proficiency in data entry for accurately processing invoices and payment runs.
