Accentuate Staffing is seeking an AP Accountant for an exciting opportunity with a pharmaceutical company in Raleigh, NC.   The AP Accounting will play an essential role in the future success of a fast-growing team and must be committed to drive successful operations.  The ideal candidate will be skilled to use time productively, maximize efficiency, be a quick learner, adapt to changing requirements, must be organized to manage complex AP/AR transactions, and committed to support business objectives of the organization.  This role has a hybrid option  with 3 days in the office and 2 days from a home.

Responsibilities:

  • Vendor management including setting up new vendors in the JD Edwards ERP System, maintaining vendor files, maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors, obtaining W-9 documents, and processing annual vendor 1099s
  • Process all vendor invoices for goods and services in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring invoices have the proper approvals and correct calculations
  • Reconciling vendor statements, investigating and correcting any discrepancies
  • Process all customer invoices for products shipped to customers in JDE
  • Assist internal and external clients for payment processes and reimbursements
  • Review compliances with internal procedures
  • Perform journal entries transactions in the general ledger
  • Monitoring of sales invoices for monthly income and remittances to corporate
  • Audit employee travel and pcard expenses
  • Control and assure on time payments for vendors and customers
  • Work closely with materials and QA when we have material return and to process the corresponding credits to the customer
  • Assisting with month close duties including journal entries and reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP systems – JD Edwards is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills – VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, generating and manipulating large sets of data for reports
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
  • Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Good work ethic and displays a can-do type of attitude
  • Self-starter mentality and ability demonstrate sound judgment and resourcefulness in decision‐making and problem solving
  • Ability think and work independently while also being a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a global company environment with a customer focus
