Accentuate Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Generalist for an opening with one of our clients in Raleigh, NC.  The Accounts Receivable Generalist is responsible for collecting customer accounts receivable to include depositing of payments, reconciling customer accounts balances, customer invoicing review and generation, consistently monitoring the accounts receivable aging report to ensure customer accounts are current in accordance with trade terms, and contacting customers to collect on past due invoices.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and sent to customers on a timely basis.
  • Deposit checks daily and apply all the cash received to customer accounts.
  • Set up new customer accounts and assign credit limits.
  • Prepare aged receivable reports bi-weekly for each division and company wide.
  • Manage accounts receivable email inbox and answer all the emails before the end of day.
  • Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with collection efforts and associated function.
  • Evaluate current accounts receivable functions and/or processes for continual gains in efficiency or overall improvement.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Other duties assigned by controller or CFO.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging customer situations effectively.
  • High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions.
