Responsibilities:

• Credit and Order approval
  • Evaluate orders vs credit limits and payment pattern for orders on hold
  • Process changes and corrections to orders
  • Provide feedback on process changes to minimize corrections
• Monitor customer accounts and send statements
• Research and resolve discrepancies in account balances and take corrective actions
• Report on Key Performance Indicators and develop new KPIs
• Set up new customers, including checking credit references
• Respond to and resolve credit card chargebacks and other claims timely
• Monitor AR transactions including but not limited to Cash and credit memo applications, Invoicing, and Cost adjustments, and correct as needed
• Ensure invoices are transmitted to customers timely
• Monitor and improve sales order process
• Issue credits for co-operative advertising or other deductions
• Prepare reporting on AR, for both in-person and email summaries of account status
• Prepare journal entries needed for closing month-end related to AR and Cash
• Monitor and report on cash collections
• Prepare other journal entries, credit memos and rebills as needed
• Initiate collections for overdue accounts

Requirements:

• AA with at least two years relevant work experience in accounting, or BS degree in Accounting
• Prior AR, accounting, and reconciliation experience preferred
• Accounting/GAAP knowledge
• Experience working with ERP system(s) (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and advanced Excel
