Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Coordinator for growing start-up biotech company in RTP.  This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with internship or 6 months of work experience in a similar roll. Responsibilities:

  • Processes all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all invoices in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  • Process accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payables data
  • Prepare invoices, reports and check runs
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Communicate with vendors as necessary, verify discrepancies and vendor billing issues, and respond appropriately
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status
  • Assist with month-end closings, and other accounting related requirements
  • Assist and provide supporting documentation for audits

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in accounts payable and general accounting
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Proficient in data entry and data management
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, and accounting software
  • Customer service orientation and communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and 1-3 years of experience; or equivalent
