Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Coordinator for growing start-up biotech company in RTP. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with internship or 6 months of work experience in a similar roll. This company offers growth potential and company culture. Responsibilities:
- Processes all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all invoices in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
- Process accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payables data
- Prepare invoices, reports and check runs
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Communicate with vendors as necessary, verify discrepancies and vendor billing issues, and respond appropriately
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status
- Assist with month-end closings, and other accounting related requirements
- Assist and provide supporting documentation for audits
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in accounts payable and general accounting
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficient in data entry and data management
- Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, and accounting software
- Customer service orientation and communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and 1-3 years of experience; or equivalent
