Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Systems Migration Specialist for a 4 month contract with one our clients in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in accounting system migrations, especially moving from QuickBooks to Sage. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth transition, accurate data transfer, and comprehensive training for employees. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys systems implementation and empowering teams with practical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the migration of financial data from QuickBooks to Sage.
- Work with internal stakeholders to assess current workflows and customize Sage to meet business needs.
- Ensure data integrity and reconciliation throughout the migration process.
- Develop user-friendly training materials and job aids for Sage users.
- Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions for accounting and operational staff.
- Provide post-migration support and troubleshooting to ensure team confidence in the new system.
- Collaborate with external vendors or Sage support as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with QuickBooks and Sage (Sage 50 or Sage Intacct preferred).
- Demonstrated success in accounting system migrations, ideally for small to mid-size businesses.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows.
- Comfortable training non-technical users with varying levels of accounting knowledge.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Background in small business finance or consulting.
- Prior experience creating system manuals or SOPs.
- CPA or relevant accounting certification (a plus, not required).
