
Accounting Manager
Accentuate Staffing is working on an Accounting Manager opportunity with a well-established and growing company in Cary. The Accounting Manager’s primary responsibilities include accounts payable, cash receipt reconciliations, managing the general ledger, and month-end reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will want to contribute to the overall success of the accounting department and company and will also seek continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and generate checks, with the help of a clerk who assists with paperwork
- Monitor fixed asset additions and depreciation calculations
- Track cash balances and complete bank reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger, month-end closings and reporting routines
- Produce management reports and ad hoc analysis
- Remit tax payments, sales tax filing, 1099’s and other governmental reporting
- Calculate royalties and send payments to franchisor
- Coordinate credit card merchant processing
- General office management and administration
- Work closely with public accounting firm on annual review
- Serve as backup to calculate commissions for payroll
- Hands-on supervision of 1-2 accounting clerks
- Manage accounting assistant who completes tasks related to daily store cash receipts and accounts receivable
Requirements:
- BS/BA Degree strongly preferred but not required
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with significant management responsibilities
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Experience using Sage 100 and ADP is preferred
- Detailed, well-organized, confident, and able to communicate with non-administrative personnel
