Accentuate Staffing is assisting a Global Sciences Organization in RTP, NC who is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. This is a Direct Hire opportunity! The Manager Accounting is tasked with managing all aspects of financial management for defined entities, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as compliance with of internal control policies and procedures. This is a salaried position plus bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Review trends and reporting for revenue recognition under new accounting rules for all sites within the Division
- Monitor and oversee internal controls around new revenue recognition accounting
- Support and review monthly supplemental and roll forward reporting by sites. Train the teams on accurate reporting
- Review balance sheet and income statement fluxes for the Division to analyze revenues, costs, expenses, transactions, and trends related to financial performance
- Coordinate with the corporate team on accurate purchase accounting adjustments for the Pharma service group. Take ownership for accurate purchase accounting for future transactions
- Assist in developing/deploying training materials for site teams on changes to processes, controls or accounting
- Coordinate review, compilation and distribution of representation letters for the Division
- Working with sites to help identify clarifications to accounting policies and new business issues
- Coordinate technical accounting questions with Corporate and share information back to sites
- Provides coverage (backup) to support other accounting and finance duties, as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA Required
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Public Accounting experience required
- Manufacturing Industry required
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
- Public Accounting Experience a STRONG plus
- Strong US GAAP knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Expert in Microsoft Office Products
- SAP, Cognos and Hyperion experience is very desirable
- Structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated track record of advancement
