Have you ever built and accounting department from scratch? Accentuate Staffing has a direct hire opening for an Accounting Manager with a manufacturing client in Clayton. This role will work directly with CFO to build and expand the accounting department including the implementation of a new ERP system.
Responsibilities:
- Performing and overseeing day-to-day accounting activities
- Closing the books monthly and preparing financial statements
- Job costing
- Overseeing AP functions, and managing AR activities
- Filing and paying sales taxes
- Assisting in implementing cost controls throughout the business
- Establish financial metrics and maintain financial reports to track metrics
- Establish and maintain departmental and project budgets
- Assist the CFO in conducting financial analysis to improve efficiency and save costs
- Improve existing processes and help create new processes as needed throughout the department and business
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field + 5 years experience in manufacturing
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced experience in MS Excel
- VBA/programming experience a plus
- CPA a plus
