Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an AP Manager to join a company in the Raleigh area.  This position will work closely with the Director, Shared Services as the company evaluates processes within Procure to Pay to identify improvements as well as areas that would be best served by transitioning into the Shared Services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service internally and externally, ensuring timely response to inquiries.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the AP department, including timely payment of vendor invoices, maintenance of supplier master file, annual 1099 reporting, corporate purchasing card and SOX requirements and documentation.
• Manage and mentor direct reports and assist direct reports in managing and mentoring their teams.
• Provide leadership, motivation and direction while communicating goals and monitoring performance.
• Manage the monthly AP close process including preparation of accruals, reconciliations and month end schedules.
• Develop, monitor and review Key Performance Indicators.
• Keep abreast of current trends and practices, identify and drive best practices.
• Monitor, track and enforce department policies, procedures and goals.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Manage information requests during year-end audits and respond to requests for information during internal audits.
• Special projects and tasks as directed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University and ten years related experience and/or the equivalent combination of training and experience
• At least 5 years’ experience leading staff in a managerial role
• Shared Service experience required
• Experienced in leading a team and implementing process improvement
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel
