Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Accountant to join a local construction company in the Raleigh area.  The Construction Accountant is responsible for supporting the controller in all of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

-Responsible for monthly close procedures
-Provide guidance to the accounts payable department in the proper entry of accounts payable and accounts receivables for assigned entities.
-Follow company accounting policies to comply with GAAP, tax requirements, state reporting requirements, and management reporting requirements.
-Responsible for accounting classification of all entries in the General Ledger
-Prepare job cost reports which are reconciled to the General Ledger.
-Prepare Construction-in-Progress/Completed Project schedules for revenue recognition purposes.
-Prepare Bank Reconciliations
-Prepare or review Accounts Reconciliations for each balance sheet account on assigned entities.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
-Proficient with accounting software, spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word & Excel
-Skilled at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
-Experience with construction accounting, inventory accounting, and job-costing or manufacturing
