Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Cost Accountant to join a local company in the Cary area. This position provides analysis of manufacturing costs to assist controller and plant leadership in determining the root causes for deviation from forecasts and plans.

Responsibilities:

-Prepares regular reports for the Controller and Plant Manager reflecting changes in operating/production costs, inventory record accuracy, material balance, etc.
-Provides material balances within the facility including Raw, WIP, and Finished goods.
-Determines costs for each product for comparison to standard costs.
-Assists in establishing standardized procedures for new and existing businesses.
-Drives overall inventory accuracy through cycle counts and monthly/annual physical inventories.
-Assists the Controller and Plant Manager in the preparation of facility capital expenditures and operating expense budgets.
-Analyzes and approves all facility utility bills, freight charges, etc.
-Performs regular audits of all accounting control functions.
-Facilitates month end close process and prepares manual journal entries as appropriate.
-Maintains proper reconciliation to overall forecast/budget.
-Prepare monthly recons for manufacturing related balance sheet accounts.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
-Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
-ERP system experience, JDE a plus.
-Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
