Accentuate Staffing is currently looking for an experienced human resources professional to join our client in downtown Raleigh. The Human Resources Manager will lead administration of all internal human resources programs. This position is an integral part of the company and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in key aspects of Human Resources in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Understand company goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to drive continual improvement
- Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies/procedures
- Manage benefit plans to include Medical, Dental, Life, 401 (k), Short-term and Long-term Disability Programs, and Flex Spending Accounts
- Manage FMLA and ensure effective integration with short and long-term disability programs
- Serve as a liaison to compensation and benefit vendors to address escalations and identify changes to design and process
- Manage ADA compliance & Worker’s Compensation claims
- Process unemployment responses, represent and advise Company in unemployment claims
- Analyze wage and salary reports; create a comprehensive and competitive compensation program that is industry specific and aligns with organizational objectives
- Manage and work closely with members of the department, specifically the Payroll and Benefits Specialist, on performance management and department goals
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings
- Respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
- Assist with new employee procedures, Employee Handbook updates and distribution of changes
- Assist in employee on-boarding and supports recruiting efforts for all personnel
- Assist in the administration of and reporting on the Performance Management program and employee surveys
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years previous experience in a HR Operations, Benefits Manager or Generalist role, preferably in a creative/marketing agency environment
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end HR process
- Demonstrated knowledge in effective compensation and benefits management and of employment laws (federal and state)
- Supervisory and management experience required
- Must be able to pick up on new concepts and tasks quickly and effectively
- High level of detail orientation and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively distill and communicate complex information
- High degree of results orientation; willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Forward thinking mindset and proactive approach
