Accentuate Staffing is looking for an experienced project manager to join a company in the local Raleigh area.  The Technical Project Manager of Software Products develops applications that enable clients to perform web based online assessments and deliver online learning materials to students. This position is needed to direct and coordinate efforts to support clients using Software Products’ applications. This is an exciting direct hire opportunity with competitive benefits!

Responsibilities

• Maintaining communication with clients, monitoring contract obligations, consulting with internal teams to resolve issues and managing the contract schedule.
• Follow project management policies and procedures consistent with the PMI Methodology.
• Set project specifications with the client.
• Prepare and manage schedules that track work within the scope of the project and adhere to time and cost requirements.
• Coordinate with all functional areas: Technology, Infrastructure, Call Center, Product Management, Quality Assurance.
• Organize project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives.
• Perform ongoing review of project status and identify possible project risks. Recommend and implement risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
• Work in conjunction with team members and stakeholders to manage changes to technical requirements, business requirements and schedule of the project. Provides input on possible changes needed based on current project status.
• Manage client, company and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics. Recommends changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business administration, information technology, education, engineering, or related field.
• Four or more years of experience in project management.
• Experience working with project management methodology project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
• Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area
• Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration and deployment of project phases
• Experience working with MS Project
• PMI certification a plus
