Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Communications Specialist to join a local company in the Raleigh area.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee all aspects of the newsletter/annual report from writing articles, selecting photos, gathering relevant education information and design.
-Create coordinated and integrated messaging (stories) across multiple platforms.
-Periodic Email Blasts: write, select photos, layout and send current updates.
-Write press-releases as needed, collaborating with appropriate staff and board members for content.
-Update regularly with current project and event information using Kentico CMS.
-Create and update content through social media venues.
-Update existing Thank You and Solicitation letters, update and create new letters, brochures, posters, donation packet fliers, etc. as needed.
-Maintain gallery of photos to be used to increase effectiveness across all communications. Maintain Photo Authorization system.
-Accountable for management of the monthly recurring donor program
-Shared accountability for the achievement of department fundraising goals.
-Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of fundraising activities.

Requirements:

-Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent computer skills including expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
-Experience using website content management software, preferably Kentico CMS.
-Experience using graphic software, preferably Adobe inDesign.
-Experience using Social Media monitoring tools a plus.
-Experience with Donor 2 CRM a plus.
-Experience working in a nonprofit environment a plus.
-Understanding of confidentiality issues of HIPAA within a human services agency. High degree of empathy toward individuals with a developmental or intellectual disability.
-Ability to lift 30 pounds (position requires moving, carrying and transporting event objects and materials)
-Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and be insurable by the Center’s liability insurance carrier
