Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a local company in the Raleigh area.  This position will work closely with the Corporate Controller and the General Manager of the Contracting Division to analyze the financial status of the contracting division by collecting, monitoring, studying data and recommending actions to improve profitability.

Responsibilities:

-Manages the Contracting Division’s month end close, prepares journal entries as necessary, and allocates cost appropriately to cost centers to oversee completion of the month end close prior to a quality review.
-Gains a thorough knowledge of the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and costing systems, models and projections, and provides significant input and oversight in these processes.
-Enhances the measurement tools and key indicators of the company to identify performance patterns and areas for review.
-Determines realistic cost of operations by collecting and analyzing operational data.
-Leads cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques, and recommending actions.
-Supports the improvement of the company’s financial results by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
-Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
-Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses and studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
-Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related field
-5 or more years of related experience required
-Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be acceptable.
-Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
