Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Graphic Designer to join a Global Regulatory Affairs department in the RTP area. This is a 1-2 year long contract position.
This position will Interface with Graphics/Labeling Coordinator, Graphics Manager, and project personnel to plan, design, and create multilingual instructional manuals, product labels, packaging inserts and carton labels using various graphic design and labeling software programs; assists with major graphics projects from inception to completion, as well as processing day-to-day graphics artwork submissions.
Responsibilities:
• Creates new and revised product labels (e.g. carton, IFUs, inserts, bed sheets, and pressure sensitive labels) using labeling software programs and several other graphic design programs
• Interact with various departments to assure timely and accurate processing of graphic content; and work with Graphic/Labeling Coordinator to process all required translations.
• Responsible for managing movement of approved/released labeling graphics to official electronic sites.
• Maintains current knowledge of applicable industry and corporate polices; possesses a working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Document Control departments’ relevant procedures
• Assures labeling graphics meet corporate labeling standards/policies and internal labeling standards.
• Creates electronic files for submission to outside vendors.
• Continually updates and maintains technical skills required to stay current in graphic design field.
• Work with Graphics/Labeling Coordinator and/or Graphics Supervisor to determine the need for research on specific problems in graphic design and use judgment in generating alternative solutions.
• Complete graphics project as assigned by Graphics/Labeling Coordinator and/or Graphics Supervisor.
• Provide training to internal and external customers with regard to graphics processing and approval, as requested.
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited graphic design program. Courses in computer graphics, and/or design from a recognized college may be substituted for non-specialized experience on the basis of eight semester or twelve-quarter units for one year of experience.
• Two years experience in graphic design field preferably in a medical device-manufacturing environment
• Expertise in product labeling and desktop publishing required. Ability to demonstrate creativity and attention to detail are also required.
