Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accounts Payable Manager to join a rapidly growing company in the Chapel Hill area. This position is open due to a promotion within the company.
The successful candidate will manage the operations and staff of Accounts Payable Department.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain sustainable workload management/allocation process to ensure the team is balanced, meeting targets and is responsive, customer focused and efficient.
• Effectively manage team and identify strengths, weaknesses and development opportunities and develop individual development plans.
• Manage and ensure daily activities of the AP staff are aligned with the key policies, processes, procedures, and controls.
• Work with business units and other functional areas to understand the impact of their processes on AP and identify and/or recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Manages daily AP activities, metrics, and service level agreements, including both operations and customer service activities to ensure that Service Level performance targets are being met.
• Maintain an organizational structure that is best suited for the needs and processes and meets performance targets
• Develop and maintain an effective process over international wires to ensure all are sent timely and confirmations are received.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related fields
• 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting with customer service functions
• 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity
• Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills (verbal and written)
• Demonstrated thought leader with the ability to think critically and suggest process improvements to management
