Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Special Events Coordinator to join a local company in the Raleigh area.  This position is responsible for the creation, management, logistics and fundraising outcomes of all events benefiting the non-profit organization. This person will recruit and coordinate volunteers for special projects and events. In conjunction with the Development Team, this person will have shared accountability for achieving the fundraising goals associated with all events.

Responsibilities:

-Planning, implementation and follow-up for all special and annual fundraising events.
-Develop and maintain event calendar.
-Coordinate event logistics, managing volunteer committees as needed and appropriate, to deliver events on time, within budget, that meet fundraising expectations.
-Coordinate logistics of event ticket sales.
-Responsible for silent auction, prize and in-kind donation solicitations for each event.
-Manage all aspects of volunteer committees and volunteer coordination, including but not limited to, staffing, recruitment, supervision, training and acknowledgement.
-Work with Communications to develop and implement publicity strategy, including public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution.
-Work with Development to cultivate and expand sponsorship development and fulfillment.
-Responsible for the development and fulfillment of the events budgets.

Requirements:

-2-4 years’ experience with event-based fundraising required. Associate’s Degree in related field required.
-Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Continuing education through classes, seminars and conferences is expected.
-Successful event management experience achieving $200,000 or more net proceeds.
-Demonstration of successful volunteer recruitment and management.
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation and writing skills.
-Excellent verbal, spelling, grammatical and proofreading skills.
-Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and be insurable by the Organization’s liability insurance carrier
