Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Patient Care Coordinator to join an established company in the Cary area.  This position will be responsible for performing intake, set-up, quality assurance and customer service activities and functions in accordance with company policies and procedures to assist in the flow of dispensing drugs to the patient. Monday-Friday, flexible hours between 9a-8p

Responsibilities:
• Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received
• Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successful serve the patient
• If certified pharmacy technician, conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing
• Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing
• Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral
• Communicate with patients in regards to shipping out orders, answering their questions/concerns to make certain they receive outrageous customer service
• Direct incoming calls from patients and providers to the appropriate individuals to make sure referrals are processed in a timely manner
• Enter new provider information (i.e., National Provider Identifier) accurately into the system so that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting

Requirement:
• High School Diploma required
• Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification

• Prior experience working in a Pharmacy setting preferred
