Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established manufacturer of cabling products who is looking for a 2nd shift Machinist/Mechanic to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity working 2nd shift, 3pm-midnight, and training on 1st shift.
Responsibilities:
- Machinist/Mechanic will maintain and operate machine shop and maintenance storage area
- Machinist/Mechanic will provide machine tools control, repair and replacement, and tool set up of equipment
- Machinist will provide tool making support for plant and production equipment and utility systems
- Machinist will design, build, and implement mechanical solutions to machine problems
- Machinist will use high precision tool and die machine working in closer tolerances less than .02mm
- Machinist will perform sheet metal fabrication using TIG, MIG, or Stick welding
- Machinist will perform mechanical preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a working knowledge of mechanical systems, mills, lathes, and fabricating metal components
- Candidates must be proficient reading blueprints, schematics, diagrams
- Candidates must have a fundamental knowledge of metals, plastics, carbon, metal, and plastic fabrication
- Candidates must have an advanced knowledge of math skills, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and advanced metric conversions
