Accentuate Staffing is assisting a chemical manufacturer in the Durham area who is looking for a Laboratory Technician. This is a 2nd shift, contract-hire opportunity!
Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Technician will prepare samples, load and unload reactors, and will handle compressed gas cylinders
- Laboratory Technician will collect data and report findings
- Technician will perform instrument checks, audits, and calibrations as needed
Requirements:
- Candidates must have an Associates degree or Bachelors degree in the Scientific, engineering, related technical field, OR equivalent years of related laboratory experience or military background
- Candidates must have mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment, test instruments, pumps, meters, etc.
- Candidates must be able to use and understand complex Excel Spreadsheets
- Candidates must be able to lift 30 pounds overhead
