Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Contract Benefits Specialist to join an established company in the Durham area. This position is responsible for the day-to-day, ongoing administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities:
-Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
-Administers various employee benefits programs, such as group health, health reimbursement account, flexible spending accounts, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(K) and voluntary benefits.
-Manages new employee benefits enrollment as well as benefits changes for employees throughout the year.
-Assists employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit changes within the scope of Section 125, as applicable.
-Maintains employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered accurately and appropriately in HR/Payroll system.
-Works with HRIS vendor to implement benefits self-enrollment system and administer system once implemented.
-Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to eligibility and premiums. Extract data from HR/Payroll system to reconcile monthly eligibility and premium reports.
-Reconciles and audits medical and other billing invoices from carriers and submit benefit billing payment requests for approval.
-Administers COBRA through third party relationship and database and ensures compliance requirements are satisfied.
-Administers 401(K) plan through third party relationship and assists employees with enrollment, deferral changes and other matters.
-Performs quality checks of benefits-related data and is responsible for data integrity of all benefits information on employees.
-Partners with vendors, brokers, Payroll, Finance and other internal and external partners to ensure efficient and customer-focused benefits administration.
-Completes benefits-related government reporting related to ADA, DOL and other regulatory agencies.
