Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Payroll/AR Assistant to join an established company in the Raleigh area. This position compiles payroll, maintains payroll records, and provides clerical assistance to Human Resources department and job duties for accounts receivable.
-Run commission reports and reconcile to ensure the correct amount is paid.
-Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, sales commissions, taxes, insurance, and other amounts to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
-Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
-Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
-Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
-Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
-Set up goals in payroll system for employee deductions, uniforms, safety shoes, child support and garnishments.
-Verify payroll accuracy.
-Ensure escrow accounts are current and stay on a debit balance
-Create invoice to appropriate supplier for payment.
-Check the company bank account to ensure it reconciles with daily consolidations.
-Receive all checks that need to be deposited daily.
-Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access), MAS 200 Accounting and Payroll systems.
