Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to join an established company in the Cary area.  This position will be processing of prescriptions including performing benefits investigation and if needed facilitating financial assistance for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received
• Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successful serve the patient
• If certified pharmacy technician, conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing
• Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing
• Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral
• Communicate with patients in regards to shipping out orders, answering their questions/concerns to make certain they receive outrageous customer service
• Direct incoming calls from patients and providers to the appropriate individuals to make sure referrals are processed in a timely manner
• Enter new provider information (i.e., National Provider Identifier) accurately into the system so that reporting can be complete
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma and GED required
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred or required to complete CPhT certification within the first six months of employment
• Prior experience working in a Pharmacy setting preferred
