Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join a local company in the RTP area. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure the organization’s financial transactions, records and reporting.

Responsibilities:

-Supervise, direct, train and review the work of the direct report accounting staff to ensure financial accuracy and to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
-Ensure timely and accurate completion of all monthly financial reporting to include internal reports, Board of Director reports and contractual report requirements
-Compile monthly close packet to include analysis of month highlights and review with Controller and other management personnel
-Coordinate and complete annual audits including annual independent audit, annual single audit, worker’s compensation audit, state settlement audit, and other grant related audits
-Ensure adequate cash management including cash flow analysis and investment activity
-Ensure desk manual for accounting processes are maintained and reviewed annually
-Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and contractual requirements and integrity of financial data
-Improve systems, procedures and initiate corrective actions
-Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
-Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine and complex accounting transactions

Requirements:

-Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
-Minimum of five years related supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the essential knowledge and abilities to perform the job
-Strong understanding of GAAP
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office
-Experience with GP Dynamics is a plus
