Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an Accounting Assistant to join an established company in the Apex area. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
o Verify the accuracy of invoices submitted
o Research any issues with submitted invoices timely and accurately to continue the process of an invoice through the various workflows
o Process vendor invoices and check requests. Maintain vendor records and enter new vendors into the accounting system
o Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status;Prepare payments for mailing
o Reconcile Accounts Payable schedules monthly
o Prepare annual 1099s for vendor payments
o Verify incoming payments to proper source documents
o Prepare invoices
o Prepare monthly statements for past due accounts
o Collections on past due accounts
o Reconcile Accounts Receivable schedules monthly
o Balance petty cash each month
o Provide direct administrative support and coordination to the Accounting Department
o Responsible for organizing filing systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
• Minimum Associates Accounting degree, 3 to 5 years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High level of competency using Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential
