Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to join a growing company in the Durham area. This position supervises Payroll and all associated processes, ensuring that all steps are executed appropriately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility of preparation of biweekly payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now and Time and Attendance modules in a rapidly growing environment.
• Primary point of contact for all front-end and back-end payroll related issues, resolutions and questions related to deductions, salary adjustments, bonuses, changes, taxes, garnishments, levies, and employee service needs.
• Responsible for ensuring payroll compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal government regulations.
• Manage all new employee, transfers, terminations and archiving of terminated employees in the payroll system.
• Scale ADP to meet needs of rapidly expanding company and be innovative and thoughtful in creation of policies/procedures to ensure all changes and implementations are scalable for company expansion.
• Update records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid-time not worked, status, and pay; calculating PTO earned.
• Balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
• Provide guidance to and shares knowledge with colleagues/team members relating to interpretation of ADP reports and how to make the data actionable.
• Provide timely payroll actual vs. variance reports to business units. Will work collaboratively with business units for budgeting and managing any variance.
• Determine payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information, 401(k) transfer and direct deposits, wage assignments and garnishments.
Requirements:
• Must have experience a Minimum of 5 years of direct payroll experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of fast paced work experience.
• Strong and proven experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll system.
• Must have excellent ADP Workforce Now reporting skills
• Experience in budget adherence and management.
• Must have a 4 year degree from an accredited university
• HR experience preferably in an Operations or Healthcare environment.
• At least 2 years of Supervisory experience
