Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Associate Staff Accountant to join a growing company in the Chapel Hill area.  This position is responsible for assisting with all internal accounting and finance functions, preparing financial statements, year-end closings, and workers compensation audits.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain General Ledger for parent company and all related entities.
• Work with CPA firm and auditors on yearly financial review or audit.
• Supervise cash collection and invoice recording.
• Implement accounting policies to comply with GAAP, tax requirements, state reporting
• Apply an internal control system to ensure legal and fiscal compliance with laws and generally
• Responsible for accounting classification of all expenditures and documents.
• Accounts Reconciliations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimal 1 year of accounting experience.
• Skilled at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Experience with construction accounting, inventory accounting, and job-costing or manufacturing accounting.
• Proficient with processing payroll and related tax forms.
