Warehouse Lead
Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a well-established distribution and logistics organization seeking a Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations and help drive efficiency, accuracy, and safety across the facility. This role serves as a key resource for warehouse staff, providing day-to-day guidance while ensuring inventory movement, order fulfillment, and operational activities run smoothly.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on warehouse experience, strong knowledge of material handling equipment, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment. This individual will assist with training team members, monitor workflow and inventory activities, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with leadership to support operational goals while ensuring high levels of productivity and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities to support efficient receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.
- Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to warehouse associates while promoting productivity and teamwork.
- Monitor inventory movement and accuracy through cycle counts, audits, quality checks, and inventory control processes.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, operational procedures, and company policies.
- Identify workflow challenges and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.
- Communicate operational updates, inventory concerns, and staffing needs with management and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience in a lead or team-support capacity.
- Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and order-picking equipment.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse handling procedures.
- Proficiency using RF scanners and basic computer systems to support warehouse operations.
- Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet physical job requirements, including standing for extended periods, frequent lifting, and working in varying warehouse conditions; valid driver’s license preferred and ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements.
