Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing pharmaceutical company in the Raleigh area who is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead their 2nd shift. This is an excellent direct hire opportunity for a hands on leader with pharmaceutical or medical device background who enjoys developing teams, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and utility personnel on 2nd shift.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment, facilities, and utilities.
  • Ensure equipment reliability while minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
  • Manage work orders and preventive maintenance schedules using a CMMS (Maximo experience is a plus).
  • Coordinate outside contractors and service providers when needed.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring utilities and facility systems remain reliable and compliant.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, equipment performance, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and EHS to maintain compliance with FDA, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate maintenance team members while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or technical degree preferred, or equivalent maintenance leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP, and quality systems.
  • Experience with CMMS software (Maximo preferred).
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment, PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), and distributed control systems (Foxboro experience is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
