Accentuate Staffing has an immediate opening for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our growing plumbing service team in Durham, NC. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating daily operations by scheduling service calls, supporting field technicians, communicating with customers, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and professionally.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can stay calm under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and provide excellent service to both customers and technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and dispatch plumbing technicians to residential and commercial service calls
  • Coordinate daily routes and assignments to maximize technician efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Answer incoming customer calls, identify service needs, and schedule appointments
  • Communicate appointment details, updates, and delays with customers and technicians
  • Monitor technician availability and adjust schedules as needed throughout the day
  • Maintain accurate customer records, job notes, and service information
  • Prioritize emergency and time-sensitive service requests
  • Communicate with field technicians regarding job status, customer needs, and follow-up requirements
  • Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts and customer concerns professionally
  • Work closely with service managers, technicians, and office staff to keep operations running smoothly
  • Support invoicing, paperwork, and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, customer service representative, or administrative coordinator preferred
  • Experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, or home services industry is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize urgent requests and make quick decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Comfortable using scheduling software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
