Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established client of ours in the Raleigh area recruit a detail-oriented Press Brake Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the operations of their press brake machinery within their manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. This role involves supervising a team of operators, maintaining safety protocols, and optimizing machine performance to meet production goals efficiently. This is a 1st shift, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings with GD&T specifications.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, calibration, maintenance of machinery.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring safety compliance across all operations.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Supervise daily operations of the press brake machine and related fabrication equipment.
  • Ensure all machinery is operated safely and efficiently, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Oversee setup, calibration, and maintenance of press brake machines and tooling to ensure precision and quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce accurate sheet metal components.
  • Coordinate with team members to assign tasks, monitor workflow, and troubleshoot machine issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain documentation related to production processes, machine maintenance logs, and quality control reports.
  • Train new operators on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations involving cranes, hand tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
  • Optimize tooling setups and fabrication processes for efficiency while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
