CMT Technician
Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a leading construction materials testing company hiring for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits, working 100% onsite. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in field environments performing testing and inspection on active construction sites.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observations, and inspections of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
- Communicate with project managers, technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding site conditions, project requirements, and testing results.
- Transport material samples to the laboratory with proper documentation for further testing and analysis.
- Prepare and submit clear, accurate written and digital reports daily.
- Maintain, clean, and organize equipment, vehicles, and work areas; assist with technician dispatch as needed.
- Follow strict safety standards, complete pre-task planning, and report any safety issues immediately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in construction, field testing, or related work.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire (company may support training).
- Ability to complete required internal safety certifications.
- Preferred: Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
