Director of Engineering
Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a global, renewable energy company who is hiring for a Director of Engineering to join their team. The ideal candidate has proven leadership in PV solar engineering, strong technical expertise, and the ability to guide and grow cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for engineering operations across the U.S., China, and Europe, aligning initiatives with global business goals.
- Lead project design, research, and development efforts while driving product innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee product certification, compliance, and third-party testing to ensure adherence to global standards.
- Manage engineering resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure on-time and cost-effective project delivery.
- Mentor and develop engineering and quality teams, fostering collaboration, performance, and technical excellence.
- Partner with customers through technical communication, training sessions, and advanced support to address complex product needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 10+ years within the PV solar industry.
- Experience with a utility-scale solar Engineering of Record (EOR) firm or active electrical engineering license.
- Strong technical expertise in PV solar power systems, design, and construction practices.
- Extensive experience managing and developing teams.
- Demonstrated success managing growing, multidisciplinary engineering teams across global operations.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM; NABCEP certification is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 30% for site visits, customer engagement, and technical support.
